Orchid Clutch – 2026

The Orchid Clutch began with a question I keep returning to: what if a flower were not printed or applied to a bag, but became its structure?

Here, a single moth orchid is translated into a hand-held object. Each sepal and petal is cut, layered, shaped and stitched in red leather over custom 3D-printed internal supports, so the bloom holds its curves in three dimensions instead of lying flat.

Behind the flower sits a ribbed clutch body with a magnetic flap closure. Carried in the hand, the orchid spreads across the wrist: the piece reads as sculpture on a shelf and comes alive when it is held.

It continues my orchid series, from the first white Orchid to the Orchid Bag (2026), and is the most compact, most sculptural version so far.
